Block Shield Sells 2 EMC Units to Hyundai RFmon;
Sets Up South Korean JV
October 19, 2007, LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Block Shield Corp PLC said it has sold two more electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) manufacturing modules for more than 1.5 mln usd to South Korean distributor Hyundai RFmon Corp.
It also said its US unit WaveZero Inc and Hyundai RFmon have agreed to establish a manufacturing joint-venture based in South Korea, under which WaveZero will provide referral business and marketing assistance in return for half of the profits.
Outside of the joint venture activities, Hyundai RFmon will pay monies to the group under its license and royalty agreement that govern the purchase of its machines.
The group said it expects this development to generate substantial marketing opportunities in the near-term, and confidently looks forward to the rest of the year.

WaveZero, Inc. Announces High Volume EMC Shield
Manufacturing Capability in Asia
July 20, 2007, Sunnyvale, CA. - WaveZero, Inc., a leader in the development and manufacture of low cost, environmentally compliant EMC shielding solutions and RFID solutions, announces a partnership with Valde Fiber Optics (VFO on the Toronto TSX Venture Exchange) to bring high-volume manufacturing of the company's products to Asia. Located in Shanghai, China, the new facility will allow customers with Asian supply chains to fulfill their EMC shielding requirements locally.
Within its 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Shanghai, Valde Fiber Optics has installed WaveZero's vacuum metalization equipment and proprietary processes allowing multi-line production of shielding solutions. Two product types are available: direct metalization of plastic enclosures and Form/MetŪ EMI shields for printed circuit boards. Both products are designed to achieve EMC/ESD compliance.
As with WaveZero products manufactured in the United States, the EMC shielding produced in China is RoHS compliant.
